This model will fit a Scout II, and was especially designed to get the best fit under a full hardtop. It
can also be used to fit behind a half-cab, or under a soft top.
We use sturdy, .120 wall HREW or CREW 2-inch steel tubing. We have a mandrel bender with
hydraulic attachment that makes unbelievably smooth and accurate bends. This bar is similar to
the original factory roll bar design, with some improvements. These will fit extremely well under
a full hard top, that's how we designed it.
This is a kit, and you will install it yourself. Kit includes the main hoop, two arms, and 6 custom
mounting plates. You'll need to get grade 8 bolts, have basic tools, and will need to have it
welded. All joints that need to be welded are cut with a hole saw or sharp blade, so everything
will fit together very nicely. Nathan goes the extra mile to make sure everything squares up and
fits together well.
Installation will require the following (not necessarily in this order): The easiest way is to remove
your top for installation, then bolt in the welded up kit. The 2 right-angle mounting plates will
weld to the main hoop, the two arms will weld to the main hoop, then two of the rounded
mounting plates will weld to the arms. At this point you will at least want to primer the rollbar, to
deter surface rusting, then paint it if you like. Then the whole thing can be bolted in, and the
remaining two rounded mounting plates will install on the underside of the wheel wells. The
right-angle mounting plates will bolt to the step behind the front seats. You will need a good drill,
bolts, washers, nuts, and a welder to complete the project. Please keep in mind your kit will only
be as good as your welds, so it is best to have this welded by a professional if you aren't
comfortable doing it yourself.
