This model will fit a Scout 80 or 800, and was especially designed to get the best fit under a
full hardtop. It can also be used to fit behind a half-cab (See the new half cab photos!)
We use sturdy, .120 wall HREW 2-inch steel tubing. We have a mandrel bender with
hydraulic attachment that makes unbelievably smooth and accurate bends. This bar is
similar to the original factory roll bar design, with some improvements. These will fit
extremely well under a full hard top, that's how we designed it.
This is a kit, and you will install it yourself. Kit includes the main hoop, two arms, and 2
custom angle iron mounting plates. The arms come pre tube-notched, and will fit perfectly
to the hoop, for ease of installation. Nathan goes the extra mile to make sure everything
squares up and fits together well, you won't find a roll bar that fits better than ours.
Installation: The easiest way is to remove your top for installation. Do a trial mock up, by
setting everything inside how you'd like it, and making sure you're comfortable with how and
where everything goes together. Then, the two arms will weld to the main hoop, then all that
will be welded to the angle iron mounting plates. If you want your roll bar painted, it's best
to do it before installation inside the rig: We recommend at least a good primer coat to
avoid rusty spots. Then the whole thing can be bolted in.
PLEASE NOTE: It is necessary to drop your gas tank(s) to get this bolted in securely.
You will need a good drill, bolts, washers, nuts, and a welder to complete the project. Please
keep in mind your kit will only be as good as your welds, so it is best to have this welded by a
certified professional if you aren't comfortable doing it yourself.
