- Will this fit under a hard top?
This is the most commonly asked question. YES! Everything we sell will fit perfectly under a hard top.
- Ouch! Why is shipping so expensive?
Yes, we say ouch, too! Everything we ship is obviously very large. As a matter of fact, it's almost so large that regular shipping companies barely take the packages. We ship FedEx Ground nearly exclusively, because they are generally much less money than UPS for some reason. Rest assured, we understand that the shipping costs are a major expense for you. We are charging no more than FedEx is charging us. Sometimes, we even take a loss on the shipping. We spend more at FedEx every year than our steel supplier!
- Is this a kit, or fully assembled?
All of our products are kits. Assembly required. Not only are we not willing to take on the liability of assembled items, but they would be impossible to ship.
- How hard is it to install?
Our customers range from professional shops to beginners. Professionals can complete an install on a simple bar kit in a few hours, or a full cage in a single day. Beginners should be enlisting the help of a certified welder or professional shop. Experienced, mechanically inclined individuals will not have difficultly installing our products. Expect to spend half a day to a full day for a bar kit, or a full weekend for a full cage kit.
- How long before I get my item?
- Nathan will generally fabricate items after they are purchased. We don't want to risk items sitting around for weeks and getting scratched and rusted. He will usually build bar kits after work, and they'll ship within 1-3 days. Front and full cage kits are always fabricated on weekends, and shipped the Monday after. We will always alert you to estimated shipping date as soon as you purchase. Once we send it, it can take 2-7 days for FedEx to delivery. Grand time total is usually 3-10 days (less for bar kits, more for cage kits).
- Can you make something custom, or make a change?
Our apologies, but no, we can't. We have pre-made designs were working from, that we can build in short order. Making changes takes planning, time, test-fitting, etc. In addition, we don't want to disappoint customers when internet and phone conversations don't lead to exactly what they were expecting. Please visit your local 4x4 shop if you'd like custom items. There may be exceptions for very simple items such as extra crossbars or straight pieces, or custom configurations of pieces we already make. We do not make items for anything other than Internationals.
- I'm calling from a shop, can you help me?
Yes! Many shops come across our website when they have a Scout project they're working on for a customer. Busy shops often find it's less expensive to buy our products than design and build their own. We offer a 10% discount on products purchased and delivered directly to a professional shop. Please send an email with your name, what you're interested in, and where you're located. I'll get back to you ASAP, and I'll set you up with your special pricing.
