Scout II Front Cage Kit Our Exclusive Plate Design Front Cage Kit: NO TUBES IN THE WAY
The Ultimate In Usability, Style & Design!
|
You Won't Find A Better Scout II Front Cage Kit:
We use a water jetted, hand bent plate along the side of the dash, ELIMINATING all tubes below the dash.
This gives you more space than a standard front cage kit, plus you'll be able to use all your dash components just as if there was no front cage kit.
The front arms are designed to fit all the way to the outside of the hardtop, eliminating annoying bars directly over your head.

Our Most Exciting Product!
Works With Our Scout II Rollbar to Make a 6-Pt Front Cage
Available Separately, or as a Package with a Rollbar
|
Front Arms not over your head, but towards the outside of the top, and out of your way!
|
Uses a plate design between the dash and kick panel to eliminate all tubing below the dash.
This is JUST the front cage: You will need either our roll bar, or a factory 2-inch roll bar (that
mounts on top of the step behind the front seats) to use this kit. If you don't have a roll bar, you
will need our roll bar and front cage kit package available here.
This front cage kit will work with our Scout II roll bar to give you a 6-pt cage that will enclose the
front area of your Scout.
We use 0.120 wall 2-inch HREW for the tubing, and the custom designed plate is 3/8-inch thick.
This kit will fit perfectly under a hard top, while still being as out of the way as possible.
This is a kit, and you will install it yourself. Front Cage Kit includes two forward-reaching arms,
two cross member tubes, all pieces for the custom plate, and mounting plates for the back side
of the kick panel.
Installation will require the following (in the order you prefer):
It's easiest to remove your top and doors for installation. Your body mount bolts will need to be
removed, and it's important that the floor be intact and mostly rust free.
Each plate consists of 6 pieces, which you will assemble and tack weld inside your Scout. Then
you remove the plates, and solidly weld them with a 220 welder. It's thick steel, and your cage
will only be as good as your welds, so have a professional do this if you aren't comfortable doing
it yourself. Once your plates are complete, you will bolt them into your Scout. Bolts go through
to your body mount, and through your kick panel. After the plates are installed, you will fit the
arms to exactly the right length. Each arm has a little extra length, so you can get the perfect fit.
You can use a tube notcher, torch, grinder, or sawzall to fit the arms perfectly to your roll bar
and the plate. Then the two cross members are installed, one at the top near the visors, and one
right over the dash.
PLEASE NOTE: There is one spot where the tube and plate come together that is very difficult to
weld, between the plate and your windshield.
WARNING: These are technically considered show bars, as we cannot guarantee their performance in case of
a rollover. Off-roading and even highway driving are inherently dangerous, and loss of life or other injuries
can occur. We simply cannot be held responsible for the performance of an installed kit. We have listed
them as "rollbars" only so you could find them using the eBay search engine. This is a kit, you are installing
it, you are welding it, you are bolting it, and therefore you are 100% responsible for it's performance and
you cannot hold us liable for any bodily or property harm. Sorry, but that's how it works with safety devices
you will buy from anyone, so we just had to say it. These are made to the best of our ability with good steel,
but we simply cannot take responsibility for their use. You all know a crazy off-roader, so you know why this
is so important. YOUR BID OR PURCHASE IS A LEGALLY BINDING ACCEPTANCE OF THIS LIABILITY
RELEASE.
